HOW TO DESCRIBE CAMILLA, la tazzina blu?
Camilla Corradi is a volcano of positivity, competence and love for what she does. It is impossible to define her with just a few adjectives, but we can say that her energy captivates and conquers you right away.
She likes to call herself a “visual addict”, but she is much more: she has managed to turn her studies and her passion for design, art and photography into a profession, becoming not only a successful stylist, but also an authoritative writer: thanks to her blog “La Tazzina Blu” (The Blue Cup), she is recognised as a reference point for many design enthusiasts in Italy and worldwide.
Camilla makes no secret of her natural inclination to prefer and choose the Nordic style in all its nuances, and in fact her new Freya, with upholstery and frame in powdery colours, won her over at first glance. Between smiles, photos and a pleasant conversation, she answered our questions:
WHERE WILL YOU USE THE NEW FREYA?
I think I will use it around my multifunctional table, where I eat, work and do a lot of other activities. I think Freya will go well with the rest of the furniture, which is definitely Nordic but with an eclectic touch. In fact, I chose to furnish the table with many chairs, and each one is different!
WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTIC THAT LEADS YOU TO CHOOSE A CHAIR WHEN DESIGNING A SPACE?
Comfort, no doubt, and I would also say usability. When I was younger I used to buy chairs that I liked just for their appearance, but in the end they often turned out to be uncomfortable. Now, however, I would put comfort first, and then secondly, it has to match everything else in the furniture. You should also please the eye!
WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE MOST VISIBLE TREND CHANGE IN DESIGNING A PLACE, AN ENVIRONMENT, either PUBLIC OR PRIVATE?
Nowadays, all interior design projects are built around the human dimension. Houses are now being built and furniture is being chosen that is designed for everyday life; they are therefore no longer seen as statements, but as places to be lived in on a daily basis.
